Buy Produce

Hope for Suffolk is a youth development non-profit organization. We function as a paid internship for 50 teenagers on a produce farm. Our teenage interns organically grow vegetables, herbs and fruits.

Purchase our organic produce and invest with us in the youth of our city! We sell our produce in shares, sometimes called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). For a monthly fee, customers get a weekly (or bi-weekly) basket of freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables.

Organic. Local. Sustainable. Life-Changing.

Benefits

=
Tastier and healthier produce! Fresh-picked and naturally ripened produce has far more nutrients and more fully developed flavor.
=
Takes care of our environment! Buying local is a great way to reduce pollution from transporting produce long distances. Plus, you can rest assured that we use the most sustainable growing practices possible and seek to improve the environment through our methods.
=
Creative dishes to eat! Getting seasonally available produce is a great way to add variety to your meals. We even provide recipes each month for creative dishes.

Add-Ons

=

Eggs: $9.50/dozen

We partner with Organic Roots Farm to bring you pasture-raised, organically fed chicken eggs from less than 5 miles from our farm! Subscribe to a weekly or bi-weekly dozen.

=

Microgreens: $10/container (4 oz.)

By partnering with Countritude, we now offer local, organically grown mixed microgreens as an add-on to your farm share. Customers who choose to add microgreens will get a variety of microgreens throughout the season.

Pricing and Membership

  • Full Share – $160/month for a weekly basket of organically grown produce
  • Half Share – $80/month for a bi-weekly basket of organically grown produce

Our season is MAY – SEPTEMBER. Most farm shares or “CSAs” require full-season payment up front, but we are able to accept monthly payments. Your membership is still a full-season commitment UNLESS you make other arrangements with us! Early cancellation could leave us unable to pay our youth interns.
